How do I know if a bronze statue is actually bronze?
I was told by a friend I have the bronze statue. I want to sell but I have to prove that is bronze, not a bronze finish. A magnet does not stick.
Only three of the metals that stick to magnets, and the bronze is not one of them. Well, if you want to know if it's metal or not, take a stick and struck the metal should give a clear and crisp "Ding" sound. To see if the metal is brass or not, something that know it's safe to bronze, finding the back of a card (with a rough surface, or a piece of unglazed clay) and make a zero with real bronze medal. Then scrape a discreet location of the statue with her and compare the color of the bar two. Most of the bronze pieces made by someone who has the mark of the bronze on it or the artist. The artist's search may also help.
