How does the breeder know if the bird is Heteroygote or homozygous for the red?
In some bird species, the red color is dominant dominant over white. A farmer bought a red bird birds for breeding. How does the breeder know if the bird is heterozygous or homozygous for the red?
The race of the birds with a white bird. According to statistical standards, if it is in fact a heterozygote, then half of the birds created will be blank. If the gene is homozygous dominant, then all birds will be red.
