A pond of course, proper maintenance of the ponds, filtration and chemical

Maintaining a clear pool in the heat of summer or the warm months to intervene these key ingredients for proper filtering said:
[1] adequate water movement and motion.
A general principle (not rule) of about 50-200 liters / h per 100 gallons can work for this GPH (lower ratio for large ponds, a higher proportion of small ponds LPH). This can be achieved over a bomb, and even a vent large (air stone). On the air stone, I think they are excellent for vertical movement, often better than most GPH pumps. An air pump large Resun double 9603, Million Air 600, Whisper 800, or more than two stones, air can travel at speeds up to 500 GPH. Another way to check this is to place the stone in the air in a PVC pipe or tank lift narrow tube, then place the top tube above the water level and measure the rate of water in a container filled with gallons (one gallon in 15 seconds = 240 LPH).
The water quality of the pump is the Via Aqua 2600, 3300 or 6500 pump mouths. Both engines were sealed electromagnetic and ceramic sinks.
[2] Good filtration.
I like pressure pond filters as "Clear Stream" by its efficiency and ease of hiding in the floor. But there are plenty of excellent filters available.
For small ponds (and even medium-large), large sponge filters are biological filters excellent and reasonable mechanical filters. They are cheap, easy to maintain and easy to connect either a head or a feed pump and air stone. Now there is a Pond sponge clear framework called "Hydro-Pond" there are two models: one of the air ducts, a powered pump. They are useful up to 1500 liters and more than can be used for larger ponds or in combination with other filters.
Bio falls are also excellent filters of the pond. I do not recommend the old style teacher or Becket Pond Filters Submersible: they clog easily, are difficult to maintain, and filters are not effective. Multiple types of filtration also are excellent as a bio-filter combination pressurized drop, or a combination of pressure filter sponge filter.
[3] Filter Factory (often called Veggie Filters)
It is a very important part of maintaining the pond and filtration. A well-planted and planted various pond is very important for the clarity, the pond and fish health, and even the reproduction of fish. Any facility would be a good root structure that grows rapidly and most leaves on water is a good candidate to start. I recommend water iris for their strong root structure, fast growth, high nutrient uptake, and a great place for baby fish (fry) to hide feed and grow. There are many other plants of great articles, like the bull of Rush. Make sure these types of plants (plants with roots in water and leaves above) are planted in a field a good move, but not the power of water. This ensures that they will work as a filter plant.
Other plants like lilies and hyacinths are excellent for removal of nutrients as well, but not at the rate of iris and similar plants. They are useful for shade, curb algae growth
[4], ultraviolet sterilization.
Although not always necessary in a well planted, well shaded and well filter tank, they are still very useful. UV rays help fight against algae, disease prevention, and ORP (which is important for good health and fish filtration). For UV to work well in a pond, the flow must not exceed of 20-45 l / h per watt of UVC. In larger ponds with high flow rates, I recommend more than UV sterilizer, a derivation of the main line, not connected in parellel coherent whole. For this reason, also do not recommend the popular filters built with UV rays, since the flow is generally too high to function properly. A separate UV is always better! For more information about UV sterilization appropriate and how it works please visit this site "WHY I use a UV sterilizer "
I have often heard complaints that the UV does not contribute to the fight against algae, when I checked the pond of this client, I filtration found insufficient and improperly installed an ultraviolet sterilizer. Even a properly installed UV sterilizer can not come worse filtration and planted a small pond. Many manufacturers claim that there are high current that is impossible to appropriate contact time.
[5] cleaning (chemical itself):
In a healthy pond, with an operating cycle of nitrogen, water changes may be minimal. I still recommend a water change of 10-20% per month in half healthy environment and a pond full of functionality. Changes in new ponds larger and more frequent may be needed.
If your pool has a KH below 80 ppm and a pH below 7.0, first consider the possible causes. One of the most common is the accumulation of organic Mulmi the pond bottom. The decomposition that produce nitric acid, which will affect the pH and KH. Since most tutors have koi pond or goldfish, it is important to note, because these fish do better at a pH above 7.2 and need the calcium provided by the KH for proper osmotic function. See "proper calcium, magnesium and KH aquariums "for more information about calcium KH and GH.
If a lot of leaves fall to the bottom of the pool vacuum or rake them is not important to prevent bioaccumulation.
Water changes also help with the pH and KH if your tap or well water is slightly alkaline and has a KH above 80 ppm.
KH One final note, if your KH is below 80 ppm, you will not have a pond healthy in the long run!
