How many versions of the flag of the United States of America – "The Stars and Stripes" were?
I saw several pictures of different colors during the formation of the United States.
The original flag was the American colonies of the British Union flag in the upper left corner [with personal flag], with thirteen red and white stripes, one for each of the thirteen original colonies. Sometime around c1775/1776 a lady from America, the name by Betsy Ross, and cut the Union flag and sewed on thir white stars on a blue background in a circle. Next was the Battle Standard of the American Revolution.
