A wild turtle moved into my frog pond and garden, what should I be planted to provide foreage?
I am excited the newest member of my frog pond and garden, and want to add plants that are edible for him / her. We also advise on all supplies shelter and protection is appreciated.
That's really cool! Much will depend on what kind of turtle it was, how the pool is high, and where you live. surrounding area might be an idea. The tortoises tend to wander in search of a partner (which is perhaps the way happened to get yours), and a fence will help keep there, and what also important to protect the turtles, raccoons, dogs and other predators. For housing, some large-leaved plants can help, clay pots, or just meet for its part, can give the turtle a safe place to hide. Turtles can be very difficult in plants – both eating and crush them when they swim or crawl on they. lettuce, water hyacinth, fairy moss and Elodea plants are good water quality if grown in your area. Cat-tail and along the pond perimeter to provide shelter and assistance. Here's a site with a lot more information http://www.fishpondinfo.com/turtles/turpond.htm
