Garden of birds .. Mirror pecking in the garden?
I have a big old mirror set among the vines in my garden to mimic a window, but for the past 3 weeks, a blackbird pecking was crazy to go constantly. Anyone with experience before?
Your Blackbird is seeing its reflection as an outsider to "their" territory, turning back, or eliminate, before doing any damage to himself, the second is preparing to build its nest, or even be willing to give. And this will put out nesting in your yard or nearby. Also, if there are young people of their time fighting the intruder is prevented from fulfilling of their parental duties, including feeding the young. This is a well known fact that birds attack their own reflection is to think that an intruder.
