Being gay is not myself, I have to ask this question before. Two things may be true. If you're gay, you eithier because they were born that way or because he has chosen to be. Most say they are born this way, which means that it is a conscious choice. If this is true, how can you proud to be gay? You do not choice. That's like saying I am proud of being white. Really? You did not say why you're proud of what he can not control? Pride can be taken as personal choices and achievements, but not things that have no control. So, if not chosen to be gay, and yet be proud of that, what better than a White Pride? If you do not choose to be gay, how Can you defend your choice of Christian fundementalists attacks? I'm not gay, not anti-gay, is not Christian, not a white Prider. Just a question.
For me, gay pride is an effort to show others that they have nothing to fear. Imagine growing up being told you are wrong, sinful, ridiculed, slandered all the time to be who you are, and the worst of it is that everything tolerated by those who are supposed to be models to follow. You know, it is supposed to emulate. Yes, I am a proud gay man, but especially of all, I am a law abiding human beings have feelings like everyone the world, and to me pride is a way to show others that do not fall into the trap of the past, you need an enemy to validate it. For me, gay pride is another way to show we are all here and we all agree to the betterment of society as a whole. Thanks for your time.
